STRIPY BABY

Hey guys, how is it going? Hope you guys liked our previous blog wherein we DIYed the jacket. This time we have again come up with a series. We will be doing three blogs in this series. The title itself would have given you the idea that it has something to do with prints.
So our next series is all about prints. We will be style three different prints which will have a BOHO touch to it.

"STRIPES ARE A STAPLE IN YOUR WARDROBE

                 - THEY'RE A CLASSIC, LIKE CAMO."

                                                                       - GIOVANNA BATTAGLIA ENGLEBERT

So as the title suggests our first print is STRIPES. Stripes easily found everywhere around the world .  It has also been in trend from pas few years .They are available in almost every girls wardrobe. But stripes are the print which are tricky to style , they can sometime overpower the look. We wanted to do something different so we styled striped sarees.

SAREES ARE A CLASSIC AND NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE.

LOOK 1

For this look we used a multi color saree with combination stripes on it. This saree had a detailing of balanced stripes just above the border. This saree in particular was a little tricky to style as there are bright colors in it. Whenever you want to style something which has bright color or has many color wear simple accessories and makeup. A full sleeved red t-shirt was used as blouse .The cold rimmed eyes and soft pink lipstick and a big red bindi was used for makeup. The jewelry was kept minimal bronze jhumkas and bangles were stacked. The bronze jewelry matched the border of the saree which complimented the look. We had a very limited amount of bronze jewelry so we skipped the necklace and decided to do a tattoo. Basically we tried to do a Bengali look inspired by PARO (from devdas) . Also we used blue sneakers as footwear to give it a modern look.

LOOK 2

For look two we styled a pink cotton saree with self printed pin stripes. This saree was rather easy to style . We used  a plain white crop top as blouse. Crop top and t-shirts as blouses are quite a rage.
White crop top also emphasizes the color of the saree. The saree is quite simple so we decided to go heavy on the jewelry and makeup. The eyes were kept nude with heavy liner n kajal and lips were kept dark with reddish mauve lipstick. A silver oxidised choker and silver dangler earrings and kadas for both hands. We used white shoes to compliment the color of the blouse. Here we tried to do a  traditional yet modern wedding guest look.
